Exceptional SC is the new face of the Educational Credit for Exceptional Needs Children, a scholarship fund dedicated to supporting exceptional needs students in South Carolina. Your donation creates those scholarships, helping students with exceptional needs attend credentialed private schools. 

Individuals and corporations who pay South Carolina taxes are eligible to claim a dollar-for-dollar credit on their state income tax liability for their donation. The tax credit has a $10 million cap, so donate as soon as possible to claim your credit.

Donate & Claim Your Tax Credit. Three Convenient Options:

1. Online* 

Donate online using a credit card or electronic check. Exceptional SC will notify the South Carolina Department of Revenue (SCDOR), who will then confirm your donation. The information submitted for the donor must match the information on your South Carolina income tax return.

2. By Mail 

Mail your paper check along with a completed Exceptional SC Donation Form to: Exceptional SC, P.O. Box 211847, Columbia, SC 29221. Information from the Exceptional SC Donation Form will be sent to the SCDOR, who will then confirm your tax credit. 

3. Stocks, Bonds, and other Marketable Securities

Please have your account manager contact 803-896-1633 for delivery instructions. After your donation, please complete the Exceptional SC Donation Form. Information from the Exceptional SC Donation Form will be sent to the SCDOR, who will then confirm your tax credit.
